Cannon Safes have a variety of security features that are meant specifically for burglary prevention. Our job is to educate you on what each of these security features are for so you feel confident in purchasing the safe that best fits your needs.

Triple Hard Plate

Triple Hard Plate gives you 6 hardened steel layers to protect your lock from drill attacks. Despite Cannon’s doors being 4” or thicker, we have 3 layers of extra hard, 60+ RC steel hard-plates that protect the lock.

Anti-Pry Tabs

Anti-Pry Tabs are reinforced brackets installed on the top and bottom of the pin-bar brackets of a safe. These tabs provide up to 400% more strength to your bolt during a pry attack, essentially removing any wiggle room between the safe and bolt that a burglar would typically utilize to attempt to break into a safe.

TruLock Internal Hinges

Patented TruLock Internal Hinges are an additional security feature that prevents against pry attacks. Internal hinges allow the safe door to close behind the body of the safe, giving it 55” of protection* compared to the 4” that you would typically get from competitors who only use 1” bolts on the hinge side of the door.

Dual Relockers

Dual Relockers are the backup plan to the backup plan. If a burglar is able to defeat the lock of a safe, the relocker system triggers and releases a spring-loaded mechanism that keeps the integrity of the locked safe.

Active Locking Bolts

Active Locking Bolts are what interlock and secure the safe door to the body of the safe. The thicker the bolts, the higher the security. Cannon Safe’s active locking bolts are 4” long and 1” or more wide. On average, competitor’s bolts are only 2” long.

Independent Testing

UL RSC- Rated is a title well earned. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent testing organization that tests product safety standards, and has done so since 1984. When testing a safe’s security features, trained technicians rigorously pry, drill, punch, and tamper to see how well the safe resists entry.
